Moving day came and went and was so successful. We'd love to take the opportunity to all of those who took time to make our moving day a success. From the friends side: Paul Powell and his wife Linda, who were an unexpected surprise; Ron Gray and his son Justin, who smelt so lovely; Wayne Moehns (sorry if that's not the correct spelling) who provided a cube van for the move; our realtor Darren Guerrard and his son Mitch; Peter Hill and Darlene Watson; Glenn Dryden, who's there at many of our events; Margriet Borger, the fridge cleaner; Al Zaback; Lynne and Randy Noonan; Andrew Thew; Debra and Steven Twiss, the after party movers. Also a thank you to Toni, our neighbor for supplying us with boxes the weeks before the move. Bill and Linda Dudgeon for helping pack up Marijo's house.
Family Members included Brenda and Jim Rose; Dave Fry; Jim Corcoran and David Navia and Nan Corcoran, our most senior mover. Thank you to Shirley and Cecil Grills who provided and amazing lunch for all - that we are still enjoying!
Please forgive us if we have forgotten anyone. It was a crazy day and we are both pretty tired out.
We love our new home and again a special thanks to everyone who helped to make it smooth.
Once we are a bit more settled, Ron is going to ride his Weber over and treat us to a real bar-b-q because Brenda stole ours.
Back to St. Mary's Monday morning for more walking and strength training. We still are looking for a home for our lovely cat. If you are interested, let us know.
Greetings from Varennes. Sounds like you had a very successful moving day. Mary and I wish we could have been there to help but we were thinking of you. It sounds like it would have been a good occasion for another party. Too bad about the BBQ. Hope the OPP are on the case..Seriously we are very happy that you are tucked in to your new love nest and we look forward to a guided tour soon. Maybe we could wash windows or something, I have had a lot of practice at that. Thanks for letting us know the date of the big event next June, but don't you think you should have consulted with me to ensure that the date did'nt conflict with my fishing trips? Ha Ha Hope you can find a good cat house for your cat... Keep on smiling.

Hello Bryan,
ReplyDeleteI just got to your blog this morning, as I was battling a crisis with a flood in my basement. (right after I went to see you)
I don't think we realize how much we are interconnected by our experiences, actions, reactions and choices.
You have brought some of that realization in my sister's life and mine.
God Bless you Bryan for being.
