Trillium Wood Golf Tournament

Bryan's thoughts on the day: I wondered how emotional I would be on the big golf tournament day, not thinking I would cry. One of the first people I saw was the manager of Trillium, Steve. I thanked him very much and then I started to cry. For me, it was a very humbling experience as it seemed there were line ups of people offering me good wishes and small hello's. At times I didn't know which way to turn, literally finishing with one person and then turning to talk to another. I hope I didn't offend anyone by cutting them off! The standing applause before dinner really touched my heart. My speech went okay, but after I got back that night there were so many things running through my mind that I could have said, but I think that is the way it goes with public speaking. From the previous blog, you saw how Marijo felt about the engagement. I wasn't so much nervous about her answer, but very much wanted to surprise her. A dear and special thanks to Cheryl, Sharon and Ron for helping me pull the surprise off. Now if only they would pay for the ring! Also a special thanks to Don for arranging transportation for me. Sure hope everyone had a good time and I look forward to seeing a lot of you at the Bocci Ball Tournament August 14th. I am pretty sure we raised close to $5000. This will be so helpful for my Mediterranean Cruise...uhr...ummm...I mean prosthetics. I was really tired when I got home, but I had a big smile on my face. See you all soon at the wedding! Bryan.
