Long Road Coming

Quiet day today as my body is still in the process of healing. Feeling very tired in my mind. The medication is still an issue as it makes me a lot like a zombie. Today was the first day I struggled with the realization that I have a long road ahead of me that won't always be easy. But all in all, things are well.
I am on a waiting list to move from the ICU to the Orthopedics Ward and it's there that they will help me to become more mobile by designing a special wheelchair according to my specific injuries.
Went through exercises for the first time today with Marijo. She is a real task master. We did about 45 minutes of a work out, which doesn't sound like much, but will start me on the road to recovery faster.
Myself and the surgeons are anxious to see underneath my hand dressing, which should happen tonight or tomorrow morning. Currently I have a plaster cast on my hand and a full dressing that is like an oven mit. My hip is looking good. They changed the dressing today a couple of times.
I am eating and drinking lots each day even though I don't always feel like it, but it is important to expand my stomach and keep my calories high.
That's all for now. Please feel free to drop me a line either by commenting on the blog site, or by emailing me directly, for those of you who have access to my email address.

  6. Hi Bryan,
How are you doing this morning. Is Marijo being to much of a task master?

  7. Mary and I enjoyed our short visit with you on Friday. Hope we didnt tire you out. Glad to see you looking so good. Fay was very impressed by your demeanor and strong moral. We all enjoyed Jonathon's graduation ceromony and we had a nice supper with him at Swiss Chalet. Had a good trip home. You will be glad to hear that the boys beat the pants of the girls in cards. They might have a different version however. You are always on our minds.
    As always, Mary and Maurice

  8. Hi Bryan, Murph here, nice to hear the daily updates, sorry nobody is bringing in a nice Shiraz to go with the choclate pudding. We all miss you at work, place is falling apart without you, LOL. Had SDDS yesterday, so you missed out on a free barbacue lunch, portions of potato salad where so small that they where the size of a loonie, no kidding. Brown's fine foods doesn't want any of us to get fat. Will keep reading yoiur blog, take care, John Murphy
