Life is like a box of chocolates
Hey this is Bryan dictating tonight: Hopefully last nights surgery was my last. I have to tell you I was a little bit scared before the surgery started. I felt if something was going to go wrong it might be on this one. Everyone said it was the easiest one and it turned out to be exactly that way so I can concentrate on moving forward again. Talking with lots of people from St. Marys again as they anxiously await my arrival, but I have to show I am 100% healthy for them to accept me as a patient.
Today I am learning to use my hand as much as possible by feeding myself with my new utensils. I sure find that things I take for granted are not so easy when you have to start over again. Things like going to the bathroom, brushing my teeth, using a cup to drink from, but they all have to get done.
Just wanted to let you know that my spirits are in a good place and I am still thinking of everyone.

You actually looked like you were enjoying your breakfast this morning. Nice to see you feeding yourself. What the hell were you eating. I'm off to Nancy's pool party today for awhile. Don't want to leave Bill too long because he gets lonely with not much to do as he is recouping. Want anymore homemade food for Monday night supper? How about roast beef, mashed potatoes, corn, gravey?
ReplyDeletePicked up posters yesterday and will get in touch with Brenda and drop them off on Saturday.
Love

Hi Bryan,
ReplyDeleteYou don't know us, but my wife, Laura & I are friends of Marijo. Laura had stroke 10 years ago and spent some time at St. Marys of the Lake. It is the best. We were really impressed with the results of her stay there. I wish you well, and with your positive attitude, I am conifident the results will be worth the effort.
All the best.
