Bryan's Leg Harness Isn't Fitting Properly....I Investigated

It's Marijo. Lately we have had a bit of a dilemma here in the Evergreen home. When we put Bryan's leg on to walk, his harness was not fitting properly. We would struggle and struggle to get it on and done up, and then, when I finally got him sitting upright, he would complain of stomach cramps. When I started to think about what could possibly be going wrong I decided to do a bit of investigating.
So, off I went to work yesterday, leaving Bryan in the home for the afternoon.
"Do you want any lunch Bryan?" I asked on my way out.
"Nope. I am good." were the last words I heard as I left.

I returned in the afternoon, about 10 minutes before I was scheduled to be home and low and behold - there was Bryan - with very little clothing on, sitting about 3 feet infront of the television, with a gallon of Heavenly Hash ice cream in his paws and a large tablespoon.
He says "Oh! You weren't supposed to be home this early!" And then, for some unknown reason tells the cat to "run away!"

Well, today we went to clinic at St. Mary's, where a number of professionals that have worked alongside Bryan in rehab gather together and talk about how things are going transitioning from the rehab facility to home. We told them that the harness seems a bit tight and difficult to get on, and then -  I told them the ice cream story.
After a bit of umming and ahhhing, the prosthetics dude says "when I fitted you for that harness there was only 1 centimeter of a gap around your waist belt. Let's check to see what it might be now."
Well, low and behold - there is now a 12 CENTIMETER GAP on the belt around Bryans waist.
So, we all put 2 and 2 together - harness struggles - memories of putting jeans on as a teenager that were 6 sizes too small - gallons of ice cream and a guilty look.
Bryan is getting CHUBBY!!!
So for all those females out there who have had to endure Bryan's "satchel-ass" jokes over the years - now it's your turn.

PS. I might need a place to stay after Bryan sees this. And I am still not sure what the cat had to do with the whole thing!
