Cowardly Lion: Read what my medal says: "Courage". Ain't it the truth? Ain't it the truth?

I have had so many visitors since I have been sick. All were welcome and visitor's always picked up my spirits. Now that I am home on weekends the visits have died off a bit. Every now and then I get a visit from someone that leaves me feeling either very emotional or that my heart gets touched. I'd like to share two such visits. A young girl with her mom visited me a while back and she brought me a stuffed toy lion. When I asked her a few questions about this lion she explained to me that she felt I had courage. This so touched me....this lion sits beside my television set in my hospital room and each time I see it I smile and try to be strong.......thank you so much Mackenzie. My other story was only yesterday when I had an enjoyable visit from Joanne Daigle currently working in the Brockville P&G site and used to work before that for several years in Belleville. We talk and talk and she said many kind words to me from things that had been said or written from my last 4 1/2 months. She told me her sister Gloria reads our blog (who I have not met) had past on a few words to me that again touched my heart. She said that I had so much courage to which I quickly shared to Joanne the story of the little lion. Gloria thank you so much for your kind words. When Joanne left last night I found myself contemplating and deep in thought. I realize that if I have courage then I need to thank all of you as I believe you are the ones that give me that. Thank you to all for you keep me strong and you make me smile.

I had my Thursday morning walking today and we walked 12 meters before I got pooped. I know it doesn't sound like much so it closer to 40 feet. We even escaped the confines of the Physio room and got to walk the main hallway amongst others. My balanced continues to improve and they told me to purchase a walker so that I may practise at home......all small victories for me. Sorry to have written a book here and I'm off to physio...smiling!

  1. Hi Bryan,

It is great to hear you are doing so well!

I must tell you that last week was a very interesting and confusing week for Mikayla. Last week the kids were learning about Terry Fox and watched a video etc. She said " Bryan has a leg like Terry Fox, Bryan is not sick though right daddy, he is going to be ok"? Off course we show her your videos on the blog and that makes her feel more at ease. She thinks of you often as do we all.

Keep the videos coming we really enjoy seeing your progress!

    Take care,

    Barnie
