Hospital life's not so bad...part 2

Today I got great news from my doctor that I would be going over to St. Mary's at 10 am on Thursday. I have been waiting quite a few days now for this good news. Went and had a wonderful supper tonight downtown to celebrate our last night at KGH. Marijo's house is almost sold and Bryan's is getting lots of looks.
I was descended upon today by a bevy of beautiful women, as you can see by the photo. What more could any man want. Rwor - I feel like such a lion...or do I mean cougar.
I would like to to take an opportunity to thank all the wonderful people at KGH for the wonderful care that they have given us during the past 2 months and for sure saving my life. I own them a debt that can never be repaid. I hear wonderful things about the staff at St. Mary's and I look forward to the next few months of rehab, as I try to get my life back to normal.
I'll keep you tuned in the second I get hooked up at St. Mary's. Keep in touch.
Bryan

To the staff at KGH from Marijo:
I want to take a moment to thank the ICU nurses, volunteers, doctors, surgeons as well as the residents, nurses and PCA's on Connell 3, and the therapists that worked with Bryan. I have spent the better part of the past 2 months caring for Bryan alongside a number of truly incredible men and women. My life personally has been changed forever after witnessing the dedication, professionalism, maturity, determination and incredibly good nature of each and every person we encountered during our stay. You all have inspired me to be a better person, to make a difference each day in the life of someone who needs it and to never complain again of long work hours, on-the-job-stress, or unfair work conditions ( I don't think I did anyway, but I sure won't now!). These guys are troopers - truly called to do what they do and they made our journey so much more bearable. Thank you. Thank you for saving Bryan's life and for working to help him come back to life. Thank you for making myself and his family comfortable and allowing us to be involved in his care. Never forget what a difference you can make in your patients lives.

Good luck with the move today!

  3. Hi Bryan, Quite a harem you have there. I know a song your father often sings called "Seven Spanish Angels". There are only six in the picture but I guess the seventh one would be Marijo. Bon Voyage to St. Mary's and continued success.
    As ever, Mary and Maurice
